How was your weekend? I hope you are all doing well, you’ll have to forgive me on the no-posts on Friday as well as yesterday but no worries, I am back and ready for business.
So it’s Summer, some people are going away on vacation and have amazing holidays whilst some are not, here are 5 tips to help you have an amazing stay-cation.
- Discover new favourite spots in your area
It is very easy to just stick to the normal routine of the places you know and believe that your hometown is boring or dry. A stay-cation is the perfect time to go out and discover new places that you might have never thought even existed. Discovering new places in your hometown is just as fun as exploring a new city except the best thing is, you get to go back home to your own bed.
2. Pamper yourself
Treat yo’self, go to the spa and get a nice massage or if you don’t want to do that treat yourself at home, get a nice bath bomb from lush, light up some candles and don’t forget to exfoliate!
3. Have breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and funnily enough it’s the meal that most people skip. Make sure you get up and make yourself a nice plate of breakfast.
4. Make plans
Make sure you make plans and go out, just because you’re on vacation that doesn’t mean you stay all cooped up in your house, go out, plan a picnic, go swimming and if you can’t go swimming then go to the park. Make memories (but good ones). Surround yourself with people you love, both friends and family.
5. Alone time
As much as I am all for socializing, you have to make sure that you’re not leaving yourself behind, it’s a vacation and you have to make sure you’re charging yourself as well. Go on walks, exercise, paint, read, spend time with God, spend time just thinking, have quiet time, hang out with yourself.
